Minister's Message

Last week I announced funding under the Green Car Innovation Fund to support the testing of Australian green engine technology for Changan Automobile - China's fourth largest automaker. Partnering with a major player in the world's largest auto making country is a coup not just for Perth company Orbital, but for Australian industry generally. It highlights the vital role local industry can play in developing green technologies  for global markets. Tapping into these global markets is a major goal for the Rudd Government. We will continue to work hard to identify global opportunities supporting local jobs.

- Senator the Hon Kim Carr
Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research
