Textiles, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) consultation

The Clothing and Household Textile Building Innovative Capability Program (BIC) and the TCF Strategic Capability Program (TCF SCP) are new TCF programs, announced in the Federal Budget on 12 May 2009.

The Government is interested in your views on how best to implement TCF SCP and BIC.

A Consultation Paper invites suggestions to inform the development of TCF SCP guidelines. It also invites comment of four issues underpinning BIC.

Written comments in response to issues raised in the consultation paper can be submitted via email to tcfconsultation@innovation.gov.au by close of business on Wednesday 30 September 2009.

To assist in preparing written comments, there will be public sessions in Sydney and Melbourne. These sessions are scheduled for:

Melbourne - Monday 14 September 2009, 10am-noon at IOOF Building, Level 6, 303 Collins Street (corner of Elizabeth Street)

Sydney - Tuesday 15 September at 10am-noon at Level 5, 341 George Street (enter via Wynyard Street).

Please RSVP your attendance at either of the public sessions to tcfconsultation@innovation.gov.au by close of business Thursday 10 September 2009, and include your name and organisation.
