Are you the owner of an existing commercial office building?

Looking to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions

$50,000 to $500,000 Australian Government Grants available

$90m Green Building Fund program

Owners of existing commercial office buildings are invited to apply for grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 for up to 50% of project costs.

These grants can be used for retro-fitting and retro-commissioning projects that reduce Australia's greenhouse gas emissions by reducing base building energy consumption.

Projects for these competitive grants could involve:

  • common area lighting upgrades
  • heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
  • improvements to the building fabric through glazing and shading
  • investment in monitoring equipment, building automation systems, and control systems linked to improving the energy efficiency of the building.

A limited number of grants are also available to relevant industry organisations to develop the knowledge, skills or capability of those involved in operating commercial office buildings, to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. Grants of up to $200,000 will be available, for up to 50% of project costs.
